It is our mission to be a Church that meets people wherever they are on life's journey and to offer them the good news of Jesus Christ. We do that through meaningful and relevant worship, growth-oriented education for all ages and outreach to our community and world. We are a United Methodist Community of Faith. More information on United Methodist beliefs can be found at www.umc.org
We believe that all people have sacred worth and are loved by God. We aim to create a "come as you are" culture at COFS and live by the mantra: "no perfect people allowed". So no matter who you are, where you've been, or what you've done, we want to offer you a warm, personal invitation to attend one of our three Sunday Services. We've got something for everyone! We hope you'll be challenged by what you see and that it might spark a desire in you to grow closer to our loving God. We hope to see you soon!
What to Expect at COFS
No Perfect People Allowed! Maybe you go to church every week or maybe this is your first time in half a century. Either way, we want you to know that you are welcome and that God loves you. We don't believe it is our place to judge and we want to be as open and accommodating and as loving as we possibly can.
When You Get Here – We encourage all of our folks to enter the two double doors at our east entrance which leads to our Agape Center. This is where we like to gather and hang out. You will see tv screens streaming announcements. There will also be a coffee bar and snacks for your enjoyment. Children's Check-in is upstairs in our education center for those of you with kids who are Sunday School age (Pre-School - Middle School).
Casual Environment – COFS is a very casual place. We want people to come as they are. We encourage and invite you to come however it is you feel comfortable.
Worship - Beginning December 23, 2018 Worship at 10am - Our services are a convergence of modern and traditional elements. You will hear traditional hymns of the faith, newer songs of the faith, and participate in meaningful liturgy.
Kids – We have Sunday School at 9:00 am for ages Preschool through Middle School. Our children's education center is on our second floor. There are two stairwells - one on the north end and one on the south end of our foyer. Either of these will get you where you need to be.
Adult Classes – Check back here for information on Sunday adult classes. These usually happen on a seasonal basis.
Giving NOT required – If you are a first time guest, please don't feel obligated to give when the offering plate passes you by. Your presence is your gift to us! We won't make you feel guilty. Thanks for checking us out!
