This is an invitation for you to grow closer in your relationship with Jesus. We have six different stations set up around the church. Each station can be a time of prayer and reflection. They are in different settings with different focuses. You can do as many or as few as you would like and you can do them as many times as you would like. The stations will be available all through Lent. You can visit on Sunday mornings 9-11:30a.m. Mondays & Wednesdays 8:30-12:30p.m. and Wednesday, February 24th 9a.m.-6:30p.m. If you have any questions, please call the church.

Ash Wednesday Services - Wednesday, Feb 17th

2/7/2021

We will have Ash Wednesday service on February 17th at 6:30 p.m.
For those who are unable to make it to service, we will offer drive-thru imposition of ashes and a prayer between 10:00 a.m. and Noon. You can drive through the circle in the parking lot.
When did Ash Wednesday begin and why do we celebrate it?
Picture
Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. Although Ash Wednesday has ancient roots, it does not appear in the rituals of The United Methodist Church or our predecessor denominations until the 20th century.   READ MORE HERE

Prayer Day is scheduled every fourth Wednesday of each month. The sanctuary is arranged for social distancing. Please bring a mask to wear. If needed, masks will be available.

A Prayer for Our Country and Leaders

1/9/2021

Picture
Let us pray...“Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them: You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.” (Leviticus 19:2)
God of all Nations, we bring you thanks and praise, praise for your wisdom and mercy and your love for all humankind, and thanks for the many freedoms and rights we enjoy in the United States. We have the privilege of living in a land where we acknowledge and respect the rights of all our fellow citizens under no king but you. Bless and protect our leaders and give them wisdom, we pray.
Beloved God, we believe that you abhor violence. We are all shocked and dismayed by attempts at mob rule. We‘re unsure where to turn, but we can always and at all times turn to you for comfort, strength, and guidance. We turn to you today, raising up our hands in humble supplication for peace, justice, and a return to the rule of law.
We have many concerns, Lord, and we’re worried about the future of our land. Let us look to you, as the author of our security and the architect of our freedom, that our values of peace, justice, equality, and reason may prevail.
We enter now upon a season of prayer. Hear us, O Lord. May your Holy
Spirit prevail in all our hearts, and may we be true disciples of Jesus Christ,
whose law is love. In His name we pray, Amen.

Bishop Trimble Calls for Prayer in Light of Riots on U.S. Capitol

1/7/2021

Bishop Trimble Calls for Prayer in Light of Riots on U.S. Capitol from Indiana Conference UMC on Vimeo.

Bishop Trimble invites United Methodist lay, clergy, and neighbors to commit to being in prayer for the next 100 days in regards to the safety and future of our nation. This comes in light of a recent attack on the U.S. Capitol as Senators gathered to discuss the certification of votes for President-Elect Joe Biden.
“We are outraged, disappointed, discouraged — some desponded — witnessing what we think could never happen in America,” says the bishop. “So what do people of faith do in moments like this? We do what our Lord and Savior commands us to do and that is be in a time of prayer.”
