NWI No Child Hungry

Director:  Gretchen Mercer
Helping local students who are food-insecure. Many students rely on the food they receive during the school week to sustain them through the weekend. Every weekend during the school year, NWI No Child Hungry provides Buddy Bags, kid-friendly sacks of food (non-perishable breakfast, lunch, dinner and treat. Each student who participates receives two (2) bags to cover Saturday and Sunday. You can reach Gretchen at (219) 730-5928.​

The prayer shawl ministry shares their handmade gifts of comfort with those in need, whether they be recuperating, grieving or simply need a reminder that they are loved. Let us know if you knit or crochet and are interested in participating.

Pastoral Care

Administering compassionate care and visitation for individuals who are hospitalized, home-bound or in need. Please feel free to reach out to the Pastor or to the office if you have any questions or concerns.

Food Ministry

Loaves and Fishes, our in-house food ministry, provides easy-to-obtain, supplemental food to those in need. Food insecurity can be an embarrassing situation, but we want you to feel comfortable here. By answering only a few simple questions, you can "shop" for the items you need. 
​Loaves and Fishes is open on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, from 9am to noon.
